La filosofía de vida que nos da el estoicismo nos ayuda a vivir de una forma más eficiente y feliz. Desde que conocí este estilo de pensamiento, mi vida cambió bastante y me di cuenta de la cantidad de cosas que se me pasaban por la cabeza y sobre las que estaba preocupado que realmente no tenían apenas importancia. Una frase basada en el estoicismo me ayudó mucho a dejar de lado ese run run que te hace la mente y que hace que no puedas estar ni un solo momento en calma y que hace que pierdas el tiempo dándole vueltas a cosas sobre las que tu no tienes control. Esa frase es... "Céntrate en lo que depende de ti, y no pienses en aquello sobre lo que no tienes control". 

Emilio explica muy bien las bases del estoicismo en su blog que además lo resume muy bien en 5 pilares que te hacen reflexionar mucho y ver como esta forma de pensar puede ayudarte a conseguir tus objetivos y metas. Para ello nos pone un ejemplo sencillo como el de un arquero que por muy preparado que esté y por muy bueno que sea su arco, hay cosas que no dependen de el como que haya de repente una ráfaga de viento, o que el objetivo se mueva. Esto nos lleva a pensar que el resultado no es lo que debemos de buscar ya que hay cosas que no dependen de nosotros, si no más bien en lo que tenemos que concentrarnos es en hacer todo lo que esté en nuestras manos para llegar a ese objetivo y una vez hayamos hecho todo lo que depende de nosotros, deberemos de ver si conseguimos dicho objetivo sabiendo que hay cosas sobre las que no podemos actuar y no por ello debemos de frustrarnos. 

Aunque podría pasarme horas y horas hablando de el estoicismo y de como personajes como Marco Aurelio, Zenón o Crisipo consiguieron aplicar esto como forma de pensar y vivir y la repercusión que esto tuvo en sus vidas y en lo que ahora somos pero, viendo que hay personas que se han informado más sobre esto como Emilio Valcarcel pues simplemente os invito a que os paséis por su blog y le echéis un ojo ya que a mi me ha ayudado mucho a cambiar de mentalidad y ver las cosas con otra perspectiva que me hace vivir de una forma mucho más tranquila y feliz disfrutando de las pequeñas cosas sin centrarme tanto en la meta.
