There are many historic buildings and famous sites in New York City that captivate tourists, and the famed empire state building is one of them. The famous building, built in 1931 and situated on Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, receives millions of visitors each year. History:
New York's Empire State Building has a distinguished past so getting tickets to see it is worthy. There was a contest to create NYC's tallest building at the time it was being developed, and it won! In New York, the Empire State Building surpassed the Chrysler Building and 40 Wall Street to become the tallest structure. It held that position for 40 years till the old World Trade Center's North Tower deposed it. It currently ranks as the fifth-tallest structure in the Nation.
Reputable architects "Shreve, Lamb & Harmon Associates" created the magnificent structure. It was based on two structures in North Carolina and Cincinnati. The fact that such a large structure was finished in under 20 months is quite impressive.
Thousands of people pass by the magnificent building every day, and many visit its observation decks to catch a sight of the NYC skyline throughout the day and at night. A brand-new display called "Dare to Dream" provides information on the history of the structure.

About the observatory
Without a question, the observatory decks are the building's greatest draw for tourists. Both decks provide breathtaking views of the NYC skyline in real-time. They are located on the 86th and 102nd floors, respectively. While the top deck is covered in glass, the 86th-floor deck is open-air and provides a clear view of the city skyline. The purity of the sky, however, also affects the perspective. You can see places like New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Connecticut on a clear, fog-free day. Of course, photographers will favor the terrace on the 86th story.
When and how to go
For every visitor in NYC, visiting the Empire State Building is simple. The building is always open, and its visiting hours are somewhat extended. You can get there by taking a lot of underground trains, and you can also get there by taking a lot of the well-known double-decker 'hop on and off' buses. Anybody who visits the building may find it to be quite time-consuming. Three lines will be present for you to navigate: the security line, the ticket line, and the lift line.
