We have guidelines, we have design systems, we have accessibility training — and people are still shipping links that literally say “click here.” It’s lazy. It’s inaccessible to screen readers. It kills scannability. It removes meaning. It forces people to hunt for context. A link label should be the meaning. “Download the PDF.” “View pricing.” “Register for Saturday.” The entire target should predict the result.
