This is a weird one, but I’ve heard people say that tobacco might raise testosterone. Is there any truth to that? Wouldn’t tobacco use usually harm the body more than help it? And if it does raise testosterone, is it only temporary, or could it actually maintain higher levels over time?
What about the different forms, does smoking have the same effect as chewing tobacco, or are they totally different when it comes to hormones? And if tobacco really affects testosterone, why don’t doctors talk about it more often?
I stumbled on this article: https://chadbites.com/blogs/research/does-tobacco-raise-testosterone and it raised more questions than answers for me. If anyone here has dug into the science or personal experience, do you think there’s actually a connection, or is this just one of those myths floating around?
