Yes, modest strength-building activities like walking, mild weight training, and yoga poses like Bhujangasana, Trikonasana, and Virabhadrasana are advised by Ayurveda.  These exercises increase circulation and muscular mass without overtaxing the body.  A balanced regimen is ideal because excessive exercise can deplete tissues and raise Vata.  In addition to promoting energy flow and lowering stress, pranayama (breathwork) and meditation are crucial for both a healthy weight growth and general well-being.
