What is your process between design and development?

We’re planning a new project and want to streamline the handoff between our designers and developers. For teams offering custom web design services, what’s your step-by-step process to ensure designs are implemented flawlessly?

Here’s how we currently do it:

  1. Wireframing & Approval – Low-fidelity mockups to align on structure.

  2. UI/UX Design – High-fidelity prototypes (Figma/Adobe XD) with client sign-off.

  3. Developer Brief – Annotated specs (breakpoints, animations, interactions).

  4. Staged Build – Frontend first (HTML/CSS/JS), then backend integration.

  5. QA & Revisions – Cross-browser/device testing before launch.

Pain Points We’ve Faced:

  • Designers assume devs “get” their vision without detailed notes.

  • Last-minute client changes that require reworking entire sections.

For custom web design services, how do you:

  • Keep designers and developers in sync?

  • Handle client revisions mid-process?

  • Ensure pixel-perfect implementation?
