Custom Embroidered Polo Shirts Get Attention!

If you have a small business, one of the best promotional items that you can give away (or sell at a promotional discount) are embroidered polo shirts. They increase brand awareness, not just for your customers who get your embroider polo shirts with your image on them, but to those who are around when your customer wears them. And these shirts are usually worn at casual outings, to the store, at parties, or on the golf course. The public aspect of custom embroidery makes the t-shirts and polos much better choice than trinkets like key-rings which tend to stay in the purse, car or pocket, or a magnet which tends to stay on the refrigerator.

Embroidered Polo Shirts and Custom Polos

Embroidered polo shirts get worn out in public and seen by not only potential new customers but also possibly old customers who may not have thought about your business in awhile. For this reason it may be advantageous to actually charge a little bit for them rather than give them away. You'd still likely want to sell them at a loss. The purpose isn’t necessarily to break-even or recoups some of your investment. The point is that even if you charge only a few dollars for them, your customer is making a commitment. He's putting some of his money into the shirt. This will make your customer value your embroidered polo shirts more, even if it is just a few dollars. And he or she will be more likely to wear them out in public. Charging a small fee for the shirts will also get the shirts in the hands of your more dedicated customers. One good idea is to charge a fee for the shirt but give a coupon for the equal amount redeemable in the future. That gets your customer to make a commitment, perceive the embroidered polo shirts as having value, but feel like he or she is getting them for free. It also gets the customer back in the door at least one more time.
If you cater to the tourist trade, you can probably get away with making a profit on your clothing embroidery. You are casting a much wider net this way. Only a small number of people on the other side of the country are likely to see the custom embroidered shirts with your logo embroidery at the time they are planning a trip to your area, and remember the business while they are in your area. But you are more likely to sell them at a higher price to people who are traveling and had a good time at your establishment.
