College Student - Style and Budget

Starting junior year and finally have some money saved from my summer internship. Want to invest in a leather jacket that'll work for campus life and eventually professional settings.

Looking for best leather jackets for men that won't break a college budget but also won't look cheap. My friends mostly wear fast fashion, but I want something that'll last through graduation and beyond.

Campus style is pretty casual, but I'm also interviewing for internships where I need to look more polished. Can leather jackets work in business casual settings, or should I stick to blazers for professional stuff?

Budget is tight at $200 max. I know that's not much for quality leather, but it's what I can swing right now. Should I wait and save more, or are there decent options in this range?

Weather here is mild - rarely below 40°F in winter, but gets pretty rainy. Do I need special treatments for water resistance, or will that damage the leather?

Also considering buying used to get better quality for my budget. Any red flags to watch for when buying secondhand leather jackets? How can I tell if something's worth buying or ready for the trash?

Really want to make a smart purchase that I'll still love after graduation. Any advice for balancing quality with realistic student budgets?
